Off‑Road Rescue After Sledding Accident

January 18, 2026

As winter storms moved out of the area on Sunday, the Sadsburyville and Westwood Fire Companies were dispatched at 14:13 hours to Autumn Trail and Flagstone Circle in Sadsbury Township for an off‑road rescue.

Crews arrived to find a patient injured in a steep retention basin following a sledding accident. Rescue 31, Brush 31, Traffic 31, and ATV 44 responded to the scene.

Firefighters coordinated with Keystone Valley EMS, who were already providing patient care. The patient was secured in a stokes basket, and ATV 44 was used to safely extricate them from the basin.
