On Monday May 16th, 2022, the Sadsburyville Fire Company placed into service a new Rescue Pumper designated as Rescue 31. Rescue 31 is a 2020 Toyne Rescue Pumper on a Spartan Metro Star chassis. This pumper features an all stainless steel body with roll up doors and full pump enclosure.

Rescue 31 has a 1000 gallon water tank, 25 gallon class B foam cell and a 1750 gallon per minute pump. There are 5 pre-connected hand lines including (4) 1-3/4" and (1) 2-1/2" with a 1000' of 5" supply line, 300' 3" supply line and 150' 1" trash line. The body is configured with full depth compartments on both sides and (4) very large coffin compartments.

This compartment configuration allows us to carry 2 sets of hurst tools including the Hurst E-draulic Spreader and Cutter, as well as a Hurst Hydraulic Simo Pump with a 28" spreader, JL500 Cutter, Maverick combination tool and 20/30/60 ram assortment. The truck is equipped with a full line of battery powered Dewalt Flexvolt equipment including a positive pressure fan, saws, power tools and lighting.

With the change of designations from the traditional Engine 31-1 and Engine 31-2, Engine 31-2 will be redesignate as Engine 31 and this unit will be Rescue 31. Rescue 31 is placed into service at 1800 hours.
