Arriving within minutes, Chief Grossman reported an engine compartment well involved with flames. It was confirmed there was nobody in the vehicle and the area was secured from bystanders. Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames and began to open the hood and dash area of the car. Firefighters had the fire under control at 1637 hours, just 3 minutes after arriving on the scene.
Additional manpower from the Sadsburyville Fire Company arrived and assisted with opening the car, overhauling and wrapping up the hose line and tools.
