| As the end of the month of October approaches, things have slowed down a little bit for the year, though the busiest unit is still QRS 31. QRS 31 has responded to multiple incidents assisting the Pomeroy, Parkesburg and Wagontown Fire Companies. What a great group of dedicated individuals we have providing emergency medical services to the citizens of the township and surrounding communities.
Sadsburyville fire side has had a few incidents over the slow month, a car fire that fortunately turned out to not be on fire, a couple automatic fire alarms and a vehicle accident or two.
October is also fire prevention month. We ask that everybody remember to change your smoke detector batteries, twice a year. Generally a good reminder is when you change the time on your clocks change the batteries in your smoke detectors. Also remember to plan with your children and family members an escape route out of the house and a spot to meet at in case of an emergency.
Thank you to the citizens of Sadsbury Township for the continuous support we receive. We are always welcoming donations to our non-profit organization. When you receive your fund drive letter in the mail, we ask that you please give back. You don't know how far just $10.00 can take us!
In addition, don't forget we have bingo every Thursday night starting at 6:30 PM. Check our bingo section for more information. |
