At 2025 the Keystone Valley Fire Department, Sadsburyville and Cochranville Fire Companies were dispatched to a reported house fire at Parkesburg Antiques in the 300 block of Main Street in Parkesburg Borough. The caller reported that there were flames visible in a window of an apartment and was possibly a kitchen on fire.

Upon arrival, of Battalion Chief Brecht he reported that the fire had been knocked down and advised Ladder 08 to lead off with a portable water fire extinguisher and thermal imaging. Keystone Chief Gathercole arrived and established Main Street Command. The fire involved the stove and surrounding areas in the kitchen.

Firefighters went in service with ventilation and used a water can to ensure that those areas involved in the fire were extinguished. EMTs evaluated two persons for smoke inhalation and both refused medical attention. All Fire Department units were clear by 2200.
