Multiple Cars on Fire on Stove Pipe Hill
By Fire Chief Adam Grossman
March 11, 2016
Sadsburyville and Keystone Valley Firefighters made quick work of multiple cars on fire in the unit block of Stove Pipe Hill Road Friday. This was the second fire of the day that firefighters responded to put out. Initially the companies were dispatched for a field fire and over time the fire had spread to multiple cars.
Just 8 minutes after the time of dispatch, Engine 31-1 arrived on scene with a crew of 4 firefighters. Battalion Chief Brecht was on location advising of multiple cars on fire. Upon arrival, Engine 31-1 laid a supply line down the long driveway and deployed two 1-3/4" attack lines to put the fire out. Later an additional trash line was pulled to mop up the area.
Keystone Valley units completed the supply line for water supply and assisted with overhaul. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
