| At 1142 hours on Christmas Day 2015, the Sadsburyville Fire Company Volunteers were alerted for a house fire in the 100 block of McKinley Drive in West Caln Township assisting the Wagontown Fire Company. Other units on the assignment included apparatus from Coatesville, Coatesville VA, East Brandywine and Westwood Fire and EMS.
Minutes after dispatch the West Caln Police Department went on scene with a working fire. This brought a working fire dispatch including additional apparatus from Westwood, East Brandywine, Honey Brook and Glen Moore Fire Companies.
First arriving units encountered an exterior fire from a one story wood frame mobile home type structure. A quick knock was made and firefighters made entry to the interior to check for extension. Fortunately no fire or smoke appeared to cause much damage to the inside of the structure.
The fire was quickly under control at 1207 hours with all hands working. Engine 31-1, Engine 31-2 and Squad 31 all fully staffed assisted at the incident. |
