Members were at it again with another training event for the year. On Tuesday, February 20th, 2007 the Westwood EMS Training Institute was at the Sadsburyville Fire Company to instruct Sadsburyville emergency medical technicians on blood bourne pathogens.
Instructor Gongloff taught EMTs what to do in the case of what to do when contaminated by bodily fluids from patients. This is a course required to be completed every year by all EMS personnel. Members watched a video and listened to the instructor about what to do in the case of contamination. In addition members tried on different personal protective equipment to use when the case comes about of bodily fluids.
