Fire Prevention with Upper Octorara Preschool

On October 10th, 2012 firefighters from the Sadsburvyille Fire Company gathered together to put on a fire prevention show for the Upper Octorara Preschool located on Octorara Trail in Sadsbury Township.

The lesson began in a classroom setting where Firefighter/EMT McWilliams taught the children about fire safety. Topics covered were stop, drop and roll, stay low and exit your house when it is on fire and to have a plan for when a fire occurs. Other things discussed were when to call 911 and what to do in the event of any emergency.

The day concluded with the children going outside and being able to see a real fire engine.

Thank you to the numerous firefighters who gave up their day to provide fire prevention for the children and the Upper Octorara Preschool for the kind hospitality.
