Vehicle Rescue Training

On Monday March 12th, 2012 volunteers of the Sadsburyville Fire Company gathered for their weekly training night. Tonight's topic of discussion was vehicle rescue. Firefighters reviewed the hurst hydraulic tool setup and operation and then reviewed the objectives to vehicle rescue; size- up, hazard control, gaining access, disentanglement, patient packaging and post rescue. Firefighters went through the objectives using a junk car donated by Reed's Auto Salvage. Thank you to the volunteers for giving up a night of time with their families to train for a better service to provide.
