Truck Company Training with Parkesburg
By Fire Chief Adam Grossman
November 7, 2011
On Monday November 7th, 2011 the Sadsburyville Fire Company trained with the Parkesburg Fire Company in regards to Truck Company Operations, since Parkesburg is the closest Tower/Ladder truck to the area.
Parkesburg Lieutenant Schreiber and Past Assistant Chief R. Reynolds went over the equipment and operation of Tower 28. The crews then split into two and went to the roof throwing ground ladders, climbing the stick and carrying equipment.
Flat roofs in a commercial setting and peaked roofs in a residential setting were both reviewed. Sadbsuryville Firefighters were able to operate the stick and become more comfortable with its operation.
