| On October 24th, 2011 the Sadsburyville Fire Company conducted live car fire training with the Westwood Fire Company at their Station.
The night began with a safety discussion led by Chief Grossman, Deputy Chief Deckman and Assistant Chief Scott. After the game plan was talked about crews loaded into Engine 31-1 and waited for the cars to be lit on fire.
Engine 31-1 came into the car fires from down the street just like they were responding to a real car fire. Crews arrived and deployed hose lines to extinguish the fires.
Tonight's training covered personal protective equipment including self contained breathing apparatus, engine driving and operating, hose line advancement and car fire safety.
Thank you to the Westwood Fire Company for another successful joint training session. |
