| Over the past 6 months the Sadsburyville Fire Company members have been giving the firehouse a face lift to improve the look of our station.
The project began last October when we decided to expand the size of the Engine room to allow more room for the arrival of the new Engine 1 in November. Many members dedicated their time on numerous Saturdays to make the whole thing a success.
Improvements accomplished consisted of adding new gear racks, extending the bay size to be longer, adding new/bigger garage doors, adding an awning with lighting to the front side of the building and side door, installing windows back in the front of the building where windows used to be years ago, adding a black top patch to the side for parking and help reduce erosion, seal coating the front driveway and installing a new air conditioning system. To complete the project we added stone and a new color of stucco to the front of the building.
The company would like to thank Past Chief Jim Supplee for his numerous hours of volunteer work to make this project complete and all the members for helping out.
In the upcoming months more phases of the renovation project are slated to begin, stay tuned for more details! |
