On Monday February 28th, 2011 the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to Beacon Light Road and Route 10 in Sadsbury Township for debris in the roadway. Engine 31-1 (C Grossman) and Engine 31-2 (FF Conover) made an immediate response as they were conducting their weekly training session.
Responding Duty Officer Deputy Supplee arrived on location to find roofing nails and staples all over the roadway. It appeared as somebody lost their load in the middle of the storm but did not know it was all over the road.
Units arrived and cleared the road of the debris, Chief Grossman made units available within 15 minutes of dispatch.
