Personnel Begin Training with New Engine
By Assistant Chief Adam Grossman
November 29, 2010
On Monday November 29th, 2010 at 1800 hours members of the Sadsburyville Fire Company gathered for their weekly Monday night training. Tonight we reviewed the operations of the new engine.
We gathered at the location of a water supply and began pumping the new Engine. Numerous lines were pulled and flowed. This was a good opportunity for pump operators to get use to a new style of pumping that we are not used to which consists of an electronic pump governor. This was great time for the firefighters as well to get used to our new hose and Elkhart Chief Fixed Gallonage Nozzles.
Thank you for everyone to take the time to prepare for the in service of our new Engine to provide a better service for our community.
Units:
Engine 31-1, Engine 31-2, Command 31
Engine 31-1 lights up the area as 2 crosslays and a front bumper line are flowed.
Engine 31-2 provides more lighting.
Past Chief James Supplee works as the MPO.
Firefighter Yervelli and Loesch man a hose line flowing 175 gallons per minute at 50 PSI.
Assistant Chief Grossman oversees the operations of tonight's training.
