| On Monday April 27th 2007, the Sadsburyville Fire Company and tanker and brush piece from the Pomeroy Fire Company were dispatched to the area of First Avenue and Old Wilmington Road in Sadsbury Township for a reported brush fire.
Engine 31-2 responded right away with a crew of five and arrived to find a large area involved in fire spreading quickly. The crew was instructed by Captain Profeto to pull the booster line to extinguish the fire.
Chief Supplee arrived at the same time and assumed command while Captain Profeto ran the operations end of the call. It was determined that Pomeroy units were not needed and were recalled.
The fire was believed to have happened as a result of a back feed of electricity from an accident that occurred in the area. |
