| On May 27th, 2010 during our weekly bingo game, our volunteers were dispatched for a gas leak in the 1900 block of Valley Road in the Pomeroy section of Sadsbury Township. Also responding were the Pomeroy and Parkesburg Fire Companies.
Engine 31-2 (Reynolds) made the response 3 minutes after dispatch with a crew of 4.
Pomeroy Fire Chief Tribbett arrived on location and confirmed an outside gas leak. In addition he requested PECO Gas to the scene to control the hazard and additional fire police from the Westwood and Parkesburg Fire Companies to control traffic in the area.
Engine 31-2 arrived and assisted with traffic control until the arrival of Traffic 28. Crews from the Pomeroy checked the houses nearby for safety and waited for PECO to arrive.
Engine 31-2 picked up and was released within 15 minutes. |
