Parkesburg VFW Memorial Day Parade
By Assistant Chief Adam Grossman
May 23, 2010
On Sunday May 23rd, 2010 at 1300 hours, Engine 31-2 lined up on Main Street in Parkesburg Borough to begin the annual Parkesburg VFW Memorial Day Parade. Numerous other fire companies from Modena to Christiana were also in attendance. A short ceremony was held at the flag memorial on Main Street and Strasburg Avenue. Then a parade of bands, twirlers and fire apparatus strung down Main Street over to First Avenue and ended at the Parkesburg Fire Company. A good time was had by all!
