By Battalion Chief Adam Grossman
November 13, 2009
On Friday November 13th, 2009 at 1748 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company, Parkesburg Fire Company Rescue and Pomeroy Fire Company Ambulance were dispatched at 1748 hours to Lincoln Highway at the Route 30 Bypass for an auto accident in Sadsbury Township. Chief Supplee responded at 1751 hours and was advised of a two vehicle accident with one to be checked.
Deputy Chief Reynolds arrived on the scene at 1754 hours, found a two vehicle minor damage accident and established Lincoln Highway Command. After mitigating the scene, Lincoln highway Command requested a second Ambulance to the scene from Pomeroy and a third Ambulance from Parkesburg due to the numerous patients involved. Due to no entrapment or additional fire services needed, Parkesburg Rescue 28 was recalled.
Sadsburyville EMTs began to triage the patients until ambulances could arrive to transport the victims. Fire crews secured hazards on both of the vehicles.
