| On Saturday October 18th, 2008 the Sadsburyville Fire Company volunteers loaded up, cleaned and shined Engine 31-2 for the Annual Parkesburg Lion's Club Halloween Parade. Aboard Engine 31-2 were Battalion Chief Grossman, Firefighter Reed and Junior Firefighter Entress.
The parade line up began at the A. Duie Pyle property on the west side of Parkesburg Borough, just off of 1st Avenue. There was a wonderful display of children in their costumes in the parade and many prizes were awarded for their efforts.
Engine 31-2 received the award for Second Place Best Appearing Engine. Congratulations to all fire companies in attendance and thank you to the Parkesburg Lion's Club for another great parade!
In addition just before the parade started Engine 31-2 was dispatched to the unit block of Wilmington Road in East Fallowfield Township to assist Westwood Ambulance 44 on the scene with lifting of a patient. Units quickly responded and was recalled 2 minutes later. |
