| On Thursday September 4th, 2008 at approximately 2000 hours, in the middle of our weekly Thursday night bingo fund raiser, the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched full company to assist the Wagontown Fire Company with a house fire in the 100 block of Coffroath Road in West Caln Township. Chief Supplee and Engine 31-2 immediately responded due to multiple personnel being on station.
Chief Supplee arrived first and reported smoke showing from the house. Due to a delayed response from Wagontown Chief Benach, Chief Supplee was requested to assume Coffroath Road Command. Engine 31-2 was the first piece of fire apparatus on scene and was advised by command to pull a 1-3/4" attack line and extinguish the small growing fire inside of one of the rooms in the house.
Engine 31-2 led by Deputy Chief Reynolds make a quick knock of the fire in the house and began using positive pressure ventilation to remove the smoke from the house.
Multiple units from Wagontown, Martins Corner, and Honey Brook Fire Companies were dispatched for this fire.
The fire was quickly under control. |
