| In the early hours of Thursday August 21st, 2008 at just after midnight, the Sadsburyville Fire Company Volunteers were dispatched for a house fire on Wallace Alley in the Pomeroy Section of Sadsbury Township for the reports of a house fire assisting the Pomeroy Fire Company. Chief Supplee responded immediately and was given a report of the side of a house on fire.
Chief Supplee was the first on location and advised the county of a small fire to the rear of the residence possibly spreading inside the walls of the house. Engine 31-2 responded with 4 personnel.
Engine 29-5 arrived first on location and deployed a hand line to extinguish the fire on the outside of the house. Engine 31-2 arrived and began investigating the inside of the structure checking for extensions into the walls of the house. The search came back negative and was determined just to be damage on the outside of the house.
Engine 31-2 remained on the scene for about 40 minutes then released Engine 35 who was standing by in our station in case anymore emergencies were to arise.
The fire is under investigation by the Chester County and State Police Fire Marshall's Offices. |
