Stove Fire In The Quarry Ridge Development

On Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 the Sadsburyville and Pomeroy Fire Companies were dispatched to the 300 block of Flagstone Circle for a reported oven fire. Engine 31-2 responded and was given a second report of the fire possibly being out.
Firefighter/EMT McWilliams was the first to arrive and confirmed the reports, holding the assignment to one engine from the Sadsburyville Fire Company.
Engine 31-2 arrived and was giving orders by Firefighter/EMT McWilliams to assist with securing the electric power to the oven. Once power was secured, crews advised the homeowner to have a contractor come out and service the oven. The cause of the oven sparking was traced to heating element wires which had burned through.
All units went available a short time later.
