BTLS Class at Westwood Fire Company
By EMT Sarah Allen
March 11, 2007
Throughout this weekend a few of our EMT's participated in a Basic Trauma Life Support Class held at Westwood Fire Company, put on by the Westwood Fire Company EMS Training Institute. Emergency Medical Technician Debbie Supplee and QRS Lieutenant Mike Audette learned how to administer patient care at a basic level in the situation of a trauma emergency.
This class is designed to help EMT's better their education on how to properly treat a patient with traumatic injuries from auto accidents, falls, etc. This was a 16 hour course with both a written and practical exam at the end. Both of our EMT's passed with flying colors. We would like to thank the Westwood Fire Company EMS Training Institute for this opportunity, to help better serve our community.
