The Sadsburyville Fire Company would like to send a huge thank you to the Residents of Sadsbury Park for your donations, and to Amanda King Buse for organizing and transporting the donation of water and gatorade to our station!!

Every member here appreciates that our community is the best at giving back! The donation of water and sports drinks will ensure that we are properly hydrated during the hot summer months while operating on emergency calls and training sessions.

Our firefighters wear heavy protective clothing to help us withstand heat and flames. With all of that equipment on, it can weigh up to an extra 80 pounds that we carry. We can average wearing that gear on a call from 30 mins to an hour or longer. Our Fire Police can be out in the sun and heat for hours at a time directing traffic during these incidents. Hydration is a key component to our health!
