Working Structure Fire in Sadsburyville

On March 19th, 2018 at 1354 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 500 block of Lissie Lane in the Lincoln Crest Section of Sadsbury Township for a structure fire. Keystone Valley Engine and Tanker, Westwood Engine, Rescue and Ambulance and Wagontown for the FAST truck were also dispatched.

Westwood Chief McWilliams arrived and reported smoke showing from a 1 story mobile home. Chief McWilliams requested a working fire dispatch and assumed the Lincoln Crest Command. The working fire dispatch brought Cochranville for the Rescue, Medic 93 and the Chester County Fire Marshall's Office.

Engine 31-1 arrived first due and stretched the front bumper line to the front door. Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and moderate heat, stretching in the door and located the fire, knocking it down. Engine 31-2 arrived second due and supplied water to Engine 31-1 who was supplied by Engine 44-5 who arrived third due.

There was 1 patient transported to a local hospital for smoke inhalation that was home at the time of the fire. The fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshall's Office.
