On Saturday January 14th, 2017 at 0947 the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the 700 block of Old Wilmington Road in Sadsbury Township for a report of smoke inside a dwelling. Engine 31-1, Engine 31-2 and Chief 31 all made the response.

Arriving within 6 minutes of the dispatch time, Deputy Chief Reynolds reported a smoke condition inside the dwelling due to a furnace controller on fire. The fire was out but a haze of smoke was still inside.

Chief Grossman arrived and established Old Wilmington Road Command and recalled the mutual aid assistance.

Engine 31-1 arrived and checked the adjacent wall for extension utilizing a thermal imaging camera. Engine 31-2 arrived next and set up positive pressure at the front door to exchange the smoke air with fresh air to dissipitate the smoke haze.

All units went available at 1008 hours.
