On June 17th, 2016 the Sadsburyville Fire Company received notification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that we were selected to receive yet another Federal Grant under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

The grant, in the amount of $40,000, allowed the Fire Company to purchase a breathing air filling station, air compressor, and cascade system. The grant helped us gain another basic tool to assist us in doing our jobs that we previously could not have done without this Federal Assistance.

The Fire Company also had to provide a 5% matching funds portion of the grant. Thank you to our grant writer John Sly for his hard work in helping us secure this award. Thank you to G.A. Vietri Inc. Electric for donating their services for installing the electric for our new fill station.
