Serious Vehicle Accident on Old Wilmington Road, Sadsbury Township

On the night of November 8th, 2016 the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Keystone Valley EMS were dispatched for an auto accident in the 900 block of Old Wilmington Road in Sadsbury Township. SFC Chief Grossman marked enroute and was advised of a 1 vehicle accident with 1 subject to be checked for injuries. Engine 31-1 with a crew of 6 marked enroute 6 minutes after being dispatched.

Chief Grossman arrived first to confirm a one vehicle accident with one patient who sustained serious injuries after colliding with a telephone pole. A medic unit from Brandywine Hospital was immediately requested to respond.

Paramedics from Sadsburyville arrived next and assisted with patient care until EMS units arrived. Ambulance 08 and Medic 93 transported one patient to a local trauma center for further evaluation.

Peco electric was notified for the broken telephone pole. It was reported that electric had been lost in the area at the time of the accident but had since been returned.
