At 1430 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company with Engine 31-2 transfered to Cochranville, Station 27, while they operated at a first due barn fire in the 1100 block of Ewing Road in Upper Oxford Township.

Due to the all available resources of the area being summoned to extinguish this barn fire, additional resources were relocated to that area to backfill in case additional resources are needed at the scene or if additional calls occur in the area.

In addition, the Honey Brook Fire Company with Engine 33-5, a 3,000 gallon water tender, relocated to bring water to the area. Being in a non-hydrant area, water is important to have available since multiple tankers were called into the scene of the barn fire and were not available for other calls for service.

Furthermore, Engine 31-2, an engine with rescue tools and 1,000 gallons of water, with a crew of 4 firefighters stood by for roughly 2 hours before being returned to Sadsburyville. No calls for service were answered during this time.
