On June 17th, 2016 the Sadsburyville Fire Company received notification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that we were selected to receive yet another Federal Grant under the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program.

This grant, in the amount of $40,000, will allow the Fire Company to purchase a breathing air filling station, air compressor, and cascade system.

Currently, the Sadsburyville Fire Company does not have any capability of refilling our air cylinders after a fire. We have always relied on the gracious assistance of other fire companies to refill our cylinders or "air packs" after usage at fires. This can present a serious problem when other companies are not available to graciously assist us. Thankfully now, we can alleviate this problem.

This grant will help us gain another basic tool to assist us in doing our jobs that we previously could not have done without this Federal Assistance.

The Fire Company also has to provide a 5% matching funds portion of the grant. Thank you to our grant writer John Sly for his hard work in helping us secure this award.
