Monday night Sadsburyville Firefighters spent their night practicing driving and operating fire apparatus. The master of these techniques are crucial, the driver/operator has an ultimate responsibility on the fire ground and getting his or her crew there safely.

Tonight Engine 31-1 flowed water from a new fire hydrant located in Sadsbury Park. Firefighters used a 3" hose to get water from the hydrant to the pump and pulled an 1-3/4" foam hand line where they trained on foam techniques. Engine 31-1 carries 30 gallons of class B foam to use for extinguishing class B fires.

We also had special assistance from a neighborhood child who was eager to lend a hand. When you see us in public, please come up and talk to us. We enjoy interaction with the community that we are here to serve.
