On June 4th, 2016 the Sadsburyville Fire Company was requested to relocate to the Thorndale Fire Company while their personnel operated the parking assignment for the Strawberry Festival.

Upon arrival at Station 38, at 1051, the Company was alerted of an automatic fire alarm in the 1400 block of North Red Maple Way in Caln Township. Engine 31-1 immediately responded with a crew of 4 firefighters.

Arriving on scene at 1059, Engine 31-1 found the home's occupant advising of burnt food on their stove. Sadsburyville Firefighters went in service with positive pressure ventilation to help clear the haze and odor out of the residence. Thorndale Chief Cordisco was on scene to oversee the operation.
