Firefighters continued their training series Monday with a focus on vehicle rescue. Vehicle accidents are a common call that summons firefighters to duty. Sometimes people can become trapped in their vehicle in an accident and rescue tools are needed to rescue them.

Both Engine 31-1 and Engine 31-2 carry the necessary equipment for a vehicle rescue. When the incident is of larger scale the Sadsburyville Fire Company utilizes mutual aid rescues like Rescue 44.

Firefighters went through many scenarios tonight to become familiar with the different equipment we carry and operation of our hydraulic tools.

Firefighters conducted this training with the Westwood Fire Company, a regional partner in emergency services delivery.
