As the daytime crew was about to call it a day, the company was alerted at 1503 for a vehicle fire in the 300 block of Octorara Road in Sadsbury Township. Engine 31-1 and Engine 31-2 made the response 5 minutes after the time of dispatch.

Ambulance 8-2 arrived on location and reported a lawn mower fully involved with flames. Both Engines arrived on location three minutes after responding and went in service with a hose line to extinguish the flames.

The fire was quickly placed under control and firefighters racked the hose back on Engine 1. Fortunately there were no exposures around the burning mower and the fire was contained to itself.
