Sadsburyville and Westwood firefighters continued their training series Monday with hose line advancement, apparatus driving and operating and relay pumping.

Currently multiple firefighters from both stations are training to be qualified on various pieces of apparatus. Tonight was a test of their knowledge and skill as part of the lengthy process of driver qualification. When driving and operating fire apparatus, the officers of both companies recognize that there it is an ultimate responsibility. In return the qualification process takes several hours of training before being qualified.

Firefighters that were not operating the apparatus were able to practice hose line advancement and technique. Multiple hand lines of different diameters were placed in service as well as a supply line between fire apparatus for water.
