House Fire on Larose Drive, Valley Township

Firefighters were dispatched Monday March 21st, 2016 at 1458 hours for a house fire in the 100 block of Larose Drive. Callers reported fire on the outside of a 3 story end of row home.

Within 3 minutes of being dispatched Westwood Battalion Chief Sly and Assistant Chief McCarthy arrived on location to confirm the report. Chief Sly led off with a fire extinguisher to knock down what appeared to be an electrical fire around the electric meter.

Engine 31-1 with a crew of 4 arrived next at 1506 hours and firefighters checked for extension inside the structure on the adjacent walls. A positive pressure fan was deployed to remove some smoke that accumulated inside the home.

Westwood Fire and EMS and Wagontown Fire came in and stood by. Peco was called to the scene to mitigate the electric issue.
