Auto Accident With Entrapment On Route 10, Sadsbury Township

On January 25th, 2016 at 1520, the Sadsburyville Fire Company, Keystone Valley Rescue and EMS, Westwood EMS and Medic 93 were dispatched to Route 10 South of Octorara Road in Sadsbury Township, a Sadsburyville local, for an auto accident with entrapment.

Deputy Chief Reynolds arrived on location at 1527 hours and confirmed the incident to be in Sadsburyville's local, established Route 10 Command and determined there was one vehicle overturned with one patient still inside the vehicle. Due to the number of patients Westwood EMS was already recalled by Ambulance 08-1.

Engine 31-1 and Rescue 08 arrived and assisted with vehicle stabilization to remove the victim from the car. Extrication was complete at 1532 and Ambulance 08-1 transported a patient to Brandywine Hospital. The Advanced Life Support was not needed and was recalled by the Ambulance.

Sadsburyville units remained on the scene to assist with traffic control and debris removal and cleared the scene at 1557.
