Rush Hour Vehicle Into Building, Sadsbury Township

On Thursday January 14th, 2016 during the start of rush hour, at 1603 the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Keystone Valley Engine and Ambulance were dispatched for a vehicle accident at Octorara Road and Octorara Trail in Sadsbury Township. Callers to 911 reported a two vehicle accident with one of the vehicles being into a building.

Engine 31-1, Engine 31-2, Chief 31 and Assistant 31 all made the response with a total of 11 firefighters. Also responding was Engine 08-2 and Ambulance 08-2.

Assistant Chief Reynolds arrived on location at 1610 and assumed Octorara Trail Command. All occupants were able to free their selves of their vehicles and were checked out by Ambulance 08-2 upon their arrival.

Sadsburyville Firefighters secured hazards on the vehicles involved and assisted EMS with patient care. The building was on top of one of the cars involved and Belfor was called to the scene to shore it up so the car could be removed.

All patients refused transport and Sadsburyville Fire cleared the scene at 1632.
