Midday Vehicle Into Building, Sadsbury Township

On January 13th, 2016 at 1044 the Sadsburyville Fire Company, Keystone Valley Fire Department Engine and Ambulance and Medic 93 were dispatched to Lincoln Highway and Independence Way in Sadsbury Township for an auto accident with a vehicle reported into a building.

Engine 31-1 arrived at 1051 hours, firefighters assessed the situation and determined the vehicle driver was possibly having a medical emergency prior to leaving the roadway. One subject was slumped over the wheel and collaboratively extricated from the vehicle with Ambulance 08-2 arriving at 1055.

Assistant Chief Reynolds arrived at 1052 hours and assumed Route 30 Command. At 1059 the extrication was reported to be complete. Firefighters also secured the power to the air conditioning units involved in the accident.

Engine 31-2 responded and provided highway protection to the first responders at the rear of the apparatus line up.

Sadsburyville and Keystone Valley fire units cleared the scene at 1107. Ambulance 08-2 transported the patient with Medic 93-4 to a local trauma center for further evaluation.
