On August 25th 2007, was the annual Sadsbury Township community day in Bert Reel Park of the Pomeroy section of Sadsbury Township. Sadsburyville and Pomeroy Fire Companies were in attendance along with the Sadsbury Township Police Department. Eight members of our company were in attendance to take Engine 31-2 and QRS 31 to the event while many other members were in fire school furthering their education for the safety of our township and surrounding townships.

EMT Sarah Stumpf setup a table for the fire company that provided different information on fire prevention information. The Pomeroy Fire Company setup their own table doing free blood pressure screenings and also providing more fire prevention information. QRS Lieutenant Weaver drove Engine 31-2 to the event and with the help of firefighters Loesch and Entress showed our truck to the kids. QRS 31 was driven by QRS Captain Audette and was on display as well for the kids to see the medical equipment on the unit. Lieutenant Grossman would like to compliment the good food the men and women of Sadsbury Township prepared for the day.

Their were many attractions this year ranging from a clown to the Russel's school of dance and color guard. The township sponsered a hay ride for the youngsters and there were also different stands setup selling everything from jewelry, paintings, kitchen utensils, baked goods and an auction. Pomeroy Assistant Chief Earl Taylor provided music for the event as well.

The members and officers of the Sadsburyville Fire Company would like thank the Sadsbury Township supervisors for inviting us to this special event.
