At 0453 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched for an engine to assist the Keystone Valley Fire Department on a house fire with entrapment in the 300 block of Main Street in Parkesburg Borough.

Upon arrival of firefighters, heavy fire conditions were found on the first floor. Firefighters made quick work of knocking down the fire on the first floor and began a primary search. Once inside a victim was found and immediately removed to awaiting emergency medical crews. Unfortunately that victim succumbed to their injuries.

Additional units from area fire companies arrived and assisted with ventilation, salvage and overhaul of the structure. The majority of the fire was contained to the first floor and no additional occupants were located during the primary and secondary searches.

The Sadsburyville Fire Company operated on scene for just over two hours before being released by Command 08.
