Auto Accident with Entrapment on West Kings Highway, West Caln Township

On February 20th 2015 At 1517 the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to assist the Wagontown Fire Company for an auto accident in the 1000 block of Kings Highway of West Caln Township. Initially the Wagontown and Westwood Fire Companies were dispatched for an auto accident, but after an upgrade of entrapment an engine from Station 31 was due.

Ambulance 144 responded at 1518 and due to the report of 3 vehicles Ambulance 44-1 responded as the second due Ambulance at 1520 followed by Rescue 44. As units were responding the 911 center reported that the West Caln Police Department was on the scene reporting 1 person trapped.

Battalion Chief Sly arrived and assumed the Sandy Hill Command confirming 1 trapped with a total of 3 patients. Ambulance 144 and began patient care until the arrival of Ambulance 44-1. Rescue 35 arrived and began extrication efforts followed closely by Rescue 44 at 1532. Ambulance 144 transported 1 patient to an area trauma center with Medic 93 while Ambulance 44-1 obtained 2 refusals.

Sadsburyville fire units were not utilized and cleared the scene at 1539 hours.
