At 0344 hours the Wagontown Fire Company and Ambulance 144 were dispatched to the 300 Block of Route 10 on State Hill for an auto accident, prior to response the Chester County Fire Radio had upgraded the call to an accident with entrapment. With this upgrade this brought the Sadsburyville Fire Company and Medic 93 to assist.

A Trooper from the Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville was on scene and confirmed one subject trapped in the vehicle off the roadway and into the woods. Units responded and Ambulance 144 was the first unit on scene with Fire Chief Grossman and Medic 93. Crews arrived and assessed the situation and unfortunately the victim succumbed to their injuries as a result of the accident. Rescue 35 along with the balance of the 35 units and the Station 31 units arrived shortly thereafter and stood by until the accident investigation was completed by the Pennsylvania State Police. Wagontown Deputy Chief Reber held the Route 10 Command during the incident.

The roadway remained closed until 0700 hours when the incident was cleared.

The members of the Sadsburyville Fire Company wish to extend our condolences to the victim and their family after this tragic incident.
