Overturned Vehicle with Entrapment in West Caln Township

On Tuesday, September 9th, 2014 Engine 31-1 was dispatched at 1820 to assist the Wagontown Fire Company at an auto accident at the intersection of Route 10 and 340 in West Caln Township.

Engine 31-1 responded 4 minutes after dispatch at 1824 with a crew of 6 firefighters and arrived on the scene just 6 minutes later at 1830.

Firefighters quickly began to stabilize the overturned vehicle and prepare to extricate one patient who was hanging upside down in the vehicle secured by a seatbelt.

The extrication was rapidly completed at 1838 by crews from Wagontown and Sadsburyville with Westwood EMS personnel attending to the injured patients.

Following the extrication, crews cleaned up debris from the accident scene.

All units cleared the scene at 1856.
