On Wednesday the Sadsburyville Fire Company was alerted along with Station 35 (Wagontown), Station 44 (Westwood), Ladder 41 (Coatesville) and Tanker 8 (Keystone) for the reported house fire in the 1300 Block of Airport Rd. Chief 35 (Ziegler) responded and was advised of a kitchen fire along with a smoke condition in the house.

While enroute Chief 35 was advised of the fire possibly being out and there was still a smoke condition inside. Engine 35 signed on the air along with Ladder 41, Engine 44-5 and Engine 31-1. West Caln Police arrived onscene confirming the fire to be knocked down. Chief 35 arrived and established Airport Road Command and held the assignment to Station 35 and Engine 31-1.

Crews then checked the stove area and surrounding areas for any extension in which there was none. So crews then ventilated the residence and a notification was made to Chester County FM Weer for this incident.

Units cleared the scene 45 minutes later.
