Relocate Assignment to Wagontown and Motorcycle Accident On Manor Road

On Saturday April 14th, 2012 at 1350 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched for an Engine to relocate to the Wagontown Fire Company along with White Horse Squad 4-9 while they operated at a woods fire on South Sandy Hill Road in West Caln Township. Units from the Martins Corner Fire Company and Westwood Ambulance were also on location.

Engine 31-1 made the response at 1356 hours with a crew of 4. At 1406 hours Engine 31-1 was alerted to a motorcycle accident on Route 82 south of Eachus Drive in West Brandywine Township for a motorcycle accident.

Other units dispatched were White Horse Squad 4-9, Honey Brook Rescue Squad covering Martins Corner, an Ambulance from the Westwood Fire Company and a Medic unit from Brandywine Hospital.

At 1410 hours Engine 31-1 arrived on location to find a 1 motorcycle accident with two patients. Chief Grossman established Manor Road Command and requested Fire Police to close the roadway on the north and south side of the incidents. Martins Corner Fire Police Captain Tim Cunningham had that well under control as expected.

Ambulance 44 and Medic 93-1 arrived and administered patient care to the sick and injured. They transported both patients to local hospitals. The balance of the fire units responding were recalled.

At 1426 hours Manor Road Command was transferred to Wagontown Assistant Chief Yearsley and Engine 31-1 returned to stand by at Station 35 until being released at 1510 hours.
