Early Morning Tractor Trailer Accident

On Wednesday January 11th, 2012 at 0523 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched for a fuel spill after an auto accident on Route 30 east of Route 10 in Sadsbury Township. Calls to 911 reported a tractor trailer had overturned, nobody was injured, but oil and fuel was leaking onto the roadway from the tractor portion of the tractor trailer.

Assistant Chief Audette arrived on location to confirm the report. Engine 31-1 arrived shortly after at 0530 hours and determined the location to be in West Sadsbury Township which is a Station 28 (Parkesburg) local.

Crews applied stay dry to the leaking fluids to control from pouring into nearby storm drains. Fire Police were dispatched and the scene was turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Sadsburyville units cleared the scene at 0549 hours.
