On Saturday June 6th, 2009 at 1640 hours the Sadsburyville Fire Company, Pomeroy Fire Company Ambulance Division, Brandywine Hospital Medic 93 and Parkesburg Rescue 28 were dispatched to the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Old Mill Road in Sadsbury Township for an auto accident reported serious. Fire Chief Supplee responded at 1641 hours and was advised of a one vehicle accident against a tree and one subject out lying on the ground.

EMS Captain Mike Audette arrived first on location and found two victims down on the ground. A second and third Ambulance was requested from the Parkesburg and Westwood Fire Companies. After triaging the scene it was determined a helicopter would need to be placed on standby due to the severity of some of the injuries.

Fire Chief Supplee arrived; established Lincoln Highway Command and Battalion Chief Grossman ran Lincoln Highway CP.

Engine 31-2 arrived and began patient care. The hazards of the vehicle were secured as well.

Rescue 28 arrived and was requested by command to establish a landing zone on the south west corner of the intersection. Medic 93 then advised to fly the helicopter due to the severity of the injuries and much need for a trauma center. A helicopter is flown because it gets the patient to a trauma center quicker due to a trauma center not being available in Chester County.

Ambulance 29-2 and Ambulance 28 transported patients. Ambulance 44 went available shortly after they arrived.

All units cleared the scene at 1719 hours.
