| Tuesday evening kept the Sadsburyville volunteers moving, with two fire calls coming in just hours apart. The first incident occurred at 7:46 PM in the 400 block of Continental Avenue in Sadsbury Township for a reported gas odor inside a multi‑occupancy residential building. Crews arrived to find the structure already evacuated after residents noticed the smell of gas. Firefighters met with PECO representatives on scene and ensured the gas supply to the building was secured. Crews ventilated the affected areas and confirmed safe conditions before clearing the scene. Later in the evening at 9:34 PM, Sadsburyville Fire Company was dispatched to the westbound Route 30 Bypass east of Business Route 30 for a vehicle fire. Rescue 31, Engine 31, Traffic 31, and Assistant 31 responded and arrived to find a vehicle fully involved with flames. Firefighters stretched a hose line and used tank water to knock down the fire, bringing it under control within ten minutes. Fire Police directed traffic safely around the scene and kept the bypass open throughout the incident. Sadsburyville volunteers handled both calls efficiently, demonstrating strong teamwork and commitment to the community. |
